Three Texas El Paso students, two of them football players, were arrested and charged with sexual assault, police in El Paso reported.
Arrested and jailed were Roderick Richard, 18, and Dwight Meyers, 19, both redshirt freshmen on the football team, and Charles Lewis, 19. They were arrested Monday and remained in jail Tuesday, police said.
The three are accused of picking up a 17-year-old El Paso girl from a discotheque in Juarez, Mexico, and taking her to a campus dormitory where she allegedly was sexually assaulted by the three, plus an unknown number of other football players.
