Crespi 47, St. John Bosco 46--Crespi (2-13, 1-5) built a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter and held on for the Del Rey League victory. Mike Kennedy scored 11 points for Crespi, which snapped an 11-game losing streak. Chris Saucher added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Saugus 64, Quartz Hill 50: Two senior forwards led Saugus to its fourth straight Golden League victory. Rusty Morse scored 21 points and Jackson Clark had 14 for Saugus (13-6, 4-0). Center Jeff Dorst added 10 rebounds.
Hillcrest Christian 51, West Valley Christian 45--After trailing, 27-21, at halftime, Hillcrest Christian took control of the Christian Schools Athletic Conference game in the third quarter by forcing 10 West Valley turnovers. Andy Garcia led Hillcrest (4-3, 1-1) with 19 points and Bobby Gaskill had 17 points and nine rebounds for West Valley (6-4, 2-1).
Villanova Prep 101, Highland Hall 50--Villanova Prep raced to a 51-20 halftime lead. Six of the team’s eight players scored in double figures in the nonleague game at Highland Hall.
Wes Parrish had 27 points and seven rebounds for Highland Hall (3-7). Guard Dax Tobin added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Oakwood 73, First Lutheran 36--Mitchell Butler had 22 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists as Oakwood (10-4, 6-0) remained undefeated in Liberty League play. Eric Leddel added 11 points and 13 assists for Oakwood.
Grace Community 72, Clearview 57--Scott Lechuga scored 23 points and Tony Saccaro had 19 for Grace Community (7-6, 4-0) in the Westside League game at Grace Community.
Chaminade 88, Salesian 34--Chaminade led, 24-4, at the end of the first quarter and rolled to its sixth consecutive Santa Fe League win. Scott Stuber scored a game-high 18 points with 10 rebounds for Chaminade (10-5, 6-0). Kevin Black added 17 points and 17 rebounds and Steve Hurdle had 8 points and 10 assists for Chaminade.
Bel-Air Prep 59, Cantwell 57--Derrick Thornton scored a team-high 17 points as Bel-Air Prep rallied from a 43-36 third quarter deficit and scored 23 points in the fourth quarter on 9 of 13 shooting in a nonleague game at Cantwell.
Holy Martyrs 71, Southwestern 39--Viken Tchorbajian scored 24 points, had 6 assists and 7 steals as Holy Martyrs won its fifth straight game. Armen Abramian had 14 points and 19 rebounds for Holy Martyrs (10-4, 5-1) in the Liberty League game.
Burbank 71, Hart 59--Abo Velasco scored 19 points and had six assists as Burbank defeated Hart in a Foothill League game. Chris Buck added 18 points for Burbank (12-6, 3-1).
Jim Bonds led Hart (8-7, 3-1) with 13 points.
Village Christian 69, Western Christian 53--James Bohn had 16 points and Jim Priest added 13 for Village Christian (7-5, 3-2) in the Alpha League game at Western Christian.
Canyon 65, Palmdale 53--Canyon was down, 29-27, at intermission, but rallied behind the scoring of Greg Paskwietz to win. Paskwietz had 25 points and Stuart Sayre had 12 rebounds for the Cowboys. Canyon is 14-5 overall and 3-1 in Golden League play.
Marshall 60, L.A. Baptist 52--Jeremy Duncan had a game-high 24 points for Marshall (10-4, 4-1) in the Alpha League game at Pasadena. Mike Null scored 21 points and Brian Anderson added 16 for L.A. Baptist (11-4, 3-2), which had 17 turnovers.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Simi Valley 55, Thousand Oaks 50--Julie Arlotto scored 23 points to keep Simi Valley perfect in the Marmonte League. Kristi Sterbens had 14 points and Paula Cooper added 10 for Simi Valley (15-3, 6-0).
Shanni Smyth had 13 points and Lina Marcaranas had 12 for Thousand Oaks (9-9, 4-2).
Louisville 80, Notre Dame 25--Andrea Knapp scored 30 points and had 12 rebounds as Louisville (12-2, 3-0) defeated Notre Dame in a San Fernando Valley League game. Louisville, ranked No.2 in the Southern Section 3-A poll, outscored Notre Dame, 27-4, to start the first quarter.
L.A. Baptist 49, Marshall Fundamental 39--L.A. Baptist took possession of first place in the Alpha League with its first win over Marshall Fundamental in seven tries.
Senior guard Dawn Broline scored 16 points and added 13 rebounds and Kendra Frazier had 15 points and 15 rebounds for L.A. Baptist (12-2, 6-0).
La Verne Lutheran 37, Montclair Prep--Montclair Prep missed the front end of three 1-and-1 opportunities in the last minute and missed a game-winning field-goal attempt with eight seconds remaining in the Alpha League game.
Charis Kubrin scored 14 points on 7 of 11 shooting for Montclair Prep (4-7, 1-5). La Verne Lutheran improved to 5-7 overall and 3-3 in league.
Camarillo 60, Westlake 52--Westlake scored just four points on 2 of 12 shooting in the fourth period en route to its fifth Marmonte League loss. Freshman guard Nichole Victoria scored 26 points for Camarillo (9-8, 2-4).
Erica Bryce scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds for Westlake (5-10, 1-5).
Burbank 63, Hart 49--Christy Calderon scored 21 points and Christine Rumfola added 19 as Burbank (10-5, 3-1) beat Hart in a Foothill League game.
BOYS SOCCER
L.A. Baptist 0, Marshall 0--Junior goalkeeper Mike Eden recorded 12 saves as L.A. Baptist tied Marshall in an Alpha League match at Marshall. It was L.A. Baptist’s sixth tie in 13 games as it fell to 1-6-6 overall and 1-2-2 in league.
Calabasas 8, Santa Clara 0--Craig Diamond scored three goals and teammates Paul Ratcliffe and Bob Jetter added two each as Calabasas dominated the Frontier League match. Calabasas (9-2-2, 2-0-1) led, 5-0, at halftime.
Ratcliffe, a center-halfback, scored Calabasas’ first two goals at the nine-and 15-minute marks.
GIRLS SOCCER
Agoura 3, Nordhoff 0--Agoura, rated No. 1 in the Southern Section 2-A, extended its unbeaten streak to 11 by defeating Nordhoff in a Frontier League match at Nordhoff.
Junior striker Dawn Krenik scored all three goals for Agoura (11-1-3, 2-0). It was Agoura’s seventh consecutive shutout.
Thousand Oaks 2, Newbury Park 0--Lisa Horne and Kris Cunningham scored a goal each as Thousand Oaks (10-1-1, 4-0) remained undefeated in Marmonte League play. Goalkeeper Andrea Maitlano recorded her third consecutive shutout and her sixth of the season.
WOMENS BASKETBALL
Whittier 74, Master’s College 66--Julie Curtis scored 30 points and Angie Garcia had 15 for Whittier (12-3) in the nonconference game at Master’s. Shelmarie Tatum had 21 points and 18 rebounds for Master’s (5-10). Michelle Spink scored 18 points and Michelle Carter added 16 for Master’s, which trailed at halftime, 34-33.
