The death of a 61-year-old woman found beneath a delivery truck at a Westminster market is being investigated as a probable suicide, authorities said Wednesday.
Anna Maria Halter, a resident of a nearby Garden Grove board-and-care home who had been under treatment for “a history of mental illness,” was discovered at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday under the tractor-trailer behind the Stater Bros. Market at 14600 Brookhurst St., police said.
They said Halter was pronounced dead on arrival at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital.
Orange County Deputy Coroner Bernice Mazuca said a note pad with a list of times on it, apparently a delivery schedule for the trucks, was found in Halter’s possession. Westminster Police Officer Larry Woessner said the list also included truck license plate numbers.
