Steve Axman, former Stanford offensive line coach, was named UCLA’s new offensive coordinator, replacing Homer Smith. Larry Coyer, former Kansas State defensive coordinator, was named to coach the Bruins’ inside linebackers, with Ted Williams moving over to coach the running backs.
