Westminster : Man Arrested After Alleged Machete Attack

An 18-year-old Santa Ana man was arrested early Friday on suspicion of attempted murder for allegedly cutting another man with a machete, police said.
Police spokesman Larry Woessner said Nhung Van Nguyen, 18, allegedlyattacked Hughes Hieu Vu, 39, shortly before 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the Thanh Hai Restaurant in the 9600 block of Bolsa Avenue.
Woessner said Nguyen allegedly took a 20-inch machete from his car after arguing with Vu and swung the weapon at him, inflicting head and hand wounds.
Nguyen was booked into County Jail on $250,000 bail, Woessner said.
