A jet helicopter pilot and his passenger were injured when the craft crash-landed in a residential street in Palm Desert, sending a section of a rotor blade into the roof of a nearby home. A Federal Aviation Administration official said the privately owned helicopter was forced to land because of mechanical problems. The pilot, Milo Kenrsroe, suffered a back injury and was admitted to Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage. His passenger, whose identity was not disclosed, was released after treatment. No one on the ground was injured.
