The ‘Leashing’ of Children

Katherine Manabat writes that leashing children is “dehumanizing” and “restricting.” Dehumanizing for who? My nephew Matthew loves his leash. You see, he thinks he is the master. He (in his mind) believes that he is in control; he is the one leading the grown-ups around. He is 4 years old.
