Orion Pictures said it is providing data to the SEC.

The motion picture and television company said that in response to a recent informal request, it intends to provide “certain data relating to writedowns taken for the fiscal year ended Feb. 28, 1986.” Last year, the company attributed half of its $31-million net loss to the writedown of some of the 40 films it has released since 1982, based on an “ongoing review of prevailing conditions affecting the future revenue potential” of the pictures.
