Bravo to the students and teacher-coaches from Marshall High School for winning the U.S. Academic Decathlon.
But boos to our national and educational systems’ priorities. It is bizarre that students who excel academically receive scholarships to college ranging from $3,000 to $5,000, while seniors who excel in basketball or football so often receive full scholarships.
