Youth With Artificial Heart Gets Transplant

MINNEAPOLIS — A 15-year-old boy who last month became the youngest recipient of an artificial heart was in critical condition Monday after a human heart transplant, officials said.

Christopher Larson, of Esdaile, Wis., was resting comfortably under cardiovascular intensive care in Abbott Northwestern Hospital, said Dr. Fredarick Gobel of the Minneapolis Heart Institute.
