A 36-year-old transient with a shotgun blasted the plate-glass windows of an all-night fast-food restaurant and several other businesses in the South La Brea Avenue area of Los Angeles before being shot to death by police, officers reported. Police Lt. Sid Nuckles said Tyrone Tagger was fatally shot in the head and chest after aiming his 12-gauge pump shotgun at officers Christien Gilbreth and Roger Gilbert.
