No. 1 Chapman Will Compete for Division II Tennis Title

The Chapman College men’s tennis team, ranked No. 1 in Division II, is one of eight teams that will compete in the Division II nationals at Cal State Northridge May 11-13, NCAA officials announced Monday.
The Panthers, 19-10 overall and the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. champions with an 11-1 record, will be competing with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Hayward, U.C. Davis, Tennessee-Martin, Rollins College of Winter Park, Fla., and Hampton Institute of Hampton, Va. Chapman finished second last season after winning the title in 1985.
