Boarding Home Operator

My 89-year-old mother had the good fortune to live in Linda Marchesini’s board-and-care home on Welby Way in Canoga Park for 2 1/2 years. Can you imagine the horror the five little old ladies who lived at Linda’s home felt at seeing her carted off in handcuffs by the police.
I have stopped by the home unannounced on many occasions. I have always been greeted by the smell of good cooking and flowers--the ladies sunning themselves on the patio on nice days, an attendant always present. Never have I had even one whiff of urine or feces in all of that time. The house has been immaculate at all times.
It would be nice if the social worker, City Atty. Kenneth Hahn, the D.A. and others like them would go after the homes that let old people lie in their own excreta and leave them unattended for hours at a time. These people seem to get off with a slap of the wrist.
Thank you, Linda, for a job well done. God bless you. I hope that justice will prevail.
