Lions Lose Out
The recent decision of the California Fish and Game Commission to end the 15-year moratorium on mountain lion hunting is an outrage. Three-fifths of the commission turned their backs on the over 65,000 signatures of Californians against the hunt, in favor of the far smaller and far more powerful hunting lobby.
That 190 magnificent mountain lions may end up as trophies on the walls of this bloodthirsty minority is a tragedy--one, I pray, the majority will heartily protest.
