Ruins Unearthed in Bahrain May Be Ancient Cemetery

MANAMA, Bahrain — A bulldozer leveling ground in Bahrain toppled into a hole and came to rest in the middle of what appears to be an ancient cemetery, a newspaper reported Friday.
Bahrain’s Akhbar al Khaleej daily said many little rooms, probably old burial grounds, were discovered.
The local antiquities department immediately ordered all work in the area stopped until the find could be evaluated and its period identified.
