‘Wrong’ Woman Slain in Shooting at Church

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A retired Army officer who planned to slay his estranged wife killed another woman by mistake as she left a Mother’s Day church service Sunday, police said.
Percy Washington, 61, was charged with second-degree murder after Fannie Watson, 70, died from a shotgun blast through her car windshield, detectives said.
