Henry Wendt, president and CEO of Philadelphia-based SmithKline Beckman Corp., was named chairman. He will continue as CEO. Also, the company named George Ebright, chief operating officer, to the additional post of president. Wendt succeeds Robert Dee, who is retiring as chairman.
