Cop’er Bowl Is Friday: Police officers from Santa Ana and Orange will lay down their badges and guns Friday night and don shoulder pads and helmets to face each other in the Cop’er Bowl football game at Eddie West Field. The Santa Ana police Hogs defeated the Orange police Bulldogs 13-12 in last year’s game. Proceeds from ticket sales ($5 admission, children under 12 free) benefit survivors of officers from both departments who died in the line of duty, as well as various youth athletic programs. Kickoff time is 7 p.m.
