Fred W. Smith has been appointed president of Fort Smith, Ark.-based Donrey Media Group, which owns 57 daily and 74 non-daily newspapers, 12 outdoor advertising companies, six broadcast stations and five cable television companies.
Smith, 53, also holds the post of chief operating officer.
