Utility to Provide Service Verification

Southern California Edison will provide verification of service to those customers seeking records to document residency to qualify for legal resident status.
Customers may call their local Edison office (numbers are listed in local directories and on electric bills) with specific addresses where service was provided. According to Edison, apartment complexes, mobil homes and some single family homes may be listed in the property owner’s name instead of the name of the resident.
Officials at the utility caution those seeking documentation of residency that utility records may be of only limited value.
