Royal Couple Celebrates

MADRID — Spain’s King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Thursday with a reception in Madrid’s royal palace attended by relatives, nobility and 17 couples married on the same day, officials said.
The 17 couples, who talked with the king and queen, Prime Minister Felipe Gonzalez and other dignitaries, were invited on the suggestion of a local newspaper.
