Maxwell Laboratories Inc. reported increases in net income, sales and backlog for the third quarter ended April 30.

Net income for the period was $653,000, up 21% from the prior year period’s $539,000. Revenues for the three months totaled $16.8 million, up 20% from the $14 million a year ago. Backlog as of April 30 was $61.7 million, compared to $45.5 million at the same time last year.
