The Seattle Seahawks acquired former Ram quarterback Jeff Kemp from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for an undisclosed draft choice.
Kemp, 27, played in 10 games for the 49ers last season, including six starts in place of the injured Joe Montana. He completed 119 of 200 passes, or 59.5%, for 1,554 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was intercepted 8 times.
San Francisco acquired the 6-0, 201-pounder last year in a trade with the Rams, for whom Kemp played five seasons. He became expendable recently when the 49ers acquired Steve Young from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and drafted Stanford’s John Paye.
