Resort Opening Will Be ‘Grand’ This Time Around

There are openings and then there are “Gala Grand Openings.”
The $33-million Mission Hills Resort hotel will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday although about 60 its 248 rooms were occupied early last month during the Dinah Shore invitational golf tournament. The hotel’s golf course has been open since January.
The delayed opening will be celebrated with a hot-air balloon race.
