WEEKEND BOX OFFICE

Columbia’s “La Bamba” continued to garner favorable word of mouth among audiences, and Orion’s “RoboCop” is still packing them in. But it was a certain British secret agent named Bond that proved strongest last weekend--”The Living Daylights” had the third biggest opening weekend of the year thus far and more than doubled the grosses of its nearest competitor, Warner Bros.’ “The Lost Boys,” which scored big among teen-agers and young adults despite the film’s “R” rating. Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” stayed strong; it ranked sixth last weekend.
* Buoyed by several rave and near-rave reviews, Atlantic’s “Wish You Were Here” did well on the “art-house” circuit over the weekend, pulling in $65,333 at just five theaters (three here in Los Angeles, two in New York).
