Laguna Canyon Road Solution

According to several articles in The Times recently, the California Department of Transportation is about to spend more tax money on a “Crisis Safety Team” to design a safer Laguna Canyon Road. Please, Caltrans, save the money: The solution is simple and cheap and has been suggested many times in the past in this paper.
A median barrier will eliminate head-on crashes which are the only real problem with a two-lane winding road. If a solid median barrier is installed the length of Laguna Canyon Road then there will be no more crashes involving innocent, sober and competent drivers who then can enjoy our beautiful winding country road.
