Tolerable Taking of Illegal Drugs

In recent weeks I have been appalled to read news items indicating that it is tolerable to take illegal drugs under appropriate conditions. I would like to state that illegal drugs, recreational or otherwise, are not OK under any conditions.
I am a registered pharmacist in Orange County and know firsthand what can happen, and what does happen, when people use illegal drugs. Last year 170 people in Orange County died of illegal drug overdoses.
A disturbing fact, especially when you consider that these people were not necessarily criminals or children trying to impress their peers, but responsible citizens who were in control of their lives until they lost that control by “snorting cocaine.”
Using illegal drugs is against the law, but even more important, using illegal drugs abuses the body and can lead to death.
