Stereo Producer Buys Gardena Site for Headquarters

Clarion Corp. of America has bought a 9.3-acre parcel at 661 W. Redondo Beach Blvd., Gardena, from Bowers Perez Associates for $5.5 million and will build its new corporate headquarters and a warehouse on the site.
Clarion, maker of car stereos, will raze a Dr Pepper bottling facility on the site and begin construction of its 50,000-square-foot headquarters and the 100,000-square-foot warehouse by next spring, a Clarion spokeswoman said.
