Serizawa Shoots 66 to Win Nikkei Cup

SEKI, Japan — Nobuo Serizawa shot a 5-under-par 66 Sunday to come from behind and win the $267,000 Nikkei Cup golf tournament.
Serizawa, who started the final round four shots behind, finished with a 7-under par 277 on the Gifuseki Country Club course, and won $48,000. It was his first Japanese tour win.
He started the final round with birdies on the first two holes and added two more on the fifth and eighth before scoring a bogey on the ninth. On the back nine, Serizawa birdied the 10th, 11th and 14th holes.
Masashi Ozaki, the defending champion, who led after the second and third rounds, shot a 71 for a 278 and finished in a tie for second with his younger brother, Naomichi, and Masahiro Shioda. The younger Ozaki shot a 70 and Shioda a 68. The three each earned $19,200.
