Several years ago, the City of Los Angeles lured the Raiders to the Southland. Ignoring the plight of the City of Oakland, local officials glowed at the prospect of increased revenue and civic pride.
Los Angeles has earned its just reward. What Al Davis giveth, Al Davis taketh away. Al Davis taketh away the Raiders to Irwindale.
Beware, city officials of Irwindale, lest you forget the harsh lessons of your predecessors in Oakland and Los Angeles. When you play with snakes, you’re bound to get bitten.
