Wright, venturing a few post-strike jokes Tuesday in New York, said the company has been sold to comedian David Letterman--who “has agreed to keep me on as a daily hire.” NBC’s proposals on such by-the-day employees were a key issue in the National Assn. of Broadcast Engineers and Technicians’ 17-week strike against the company.
