The Fifth Annual American Wine & Food Festival, benefiting the West Los Angeles Chapter of Meals on Wheels and Cuisine a Roulettes, will be held Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. This year’s event will be held on the “Back to the Future” set at Universal Studios. Honorary benefit chairman is Vincent Price.
Once again this year 15 chefs from around the country and 45 wineries will offer a tasting of their finest cuisine and wines. Those attending will sample the culinary creations of Dean Fearing, Larry Forgione, Mark Miller, Bradley Ogden, Wolfgang Puck, Anne Rosenzweig, Jimmy Schmidt, Lydia Shire, Robert Reash, Piero Selvaggio, John Makin, Gabino Sotelino, Jeremiah Tower, Alice Waters and Jonathan Waxman.
Puck of Spago and Chinois on Main formed the Wolfgang Puck Charitable Foundation to assist charitable groups across the country. The foundation has taken a particular concern for the Meals on Wheels program here in Los Angeles, as it is a small organization whose only income is from private sources.
The donation to this year’s event is $150 per person. All tickets will be held at the door. For additional information: (213) 652-3706.
