Azusa : Renewal Plan Approved

The City Council has unanimously approved a plan to revitalize a 66-acre area north of Foothill Boulevard between Todd and Vernon avenues.
The plan, developed by the consulting firm of Pod Inc., establishes architectural standards and outlines street improvements and land uses. Most of the property is targeted for industrial development, but the plan contains commercial zoning along Foothill Boulevard.
A proposal to extend commercial zoning along Todd and Vernon avenues was opposed by property owners and rejected by the council.
