Bob Wieland, a 40-year-old legless Vietnam War veteran from Arcadia, completed the New York City Marathon more than three days after the race began.
As finisher No. 21,144, Wieland completed his 26.2 miles in 81 hours 37 minutes 45 seconds. He spent one night in a hotel.
