Chang Picked for U.S. Team in Tournament

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Michael Chang of Placentia, 15, the youngest player to win a match at the U.S. Open, has been selected to represent the United States in the 30th annual Sunshine Cup next month at the Gerulaitis International Tennis Center.

Jonathan Stark of Medford, Ore., and Jared Palmer, Wesley Chapel, Fla., both 16, also have been selected for the team in the 50-nation event. The tournament, which will be held Dec. 14-20, is open to players age 18 and under.
