Compton Teacher of Year

Karen McBroom, a fifth-grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School, has been selected as teacher of the year for 1987-88 in the Compton Unified School District. McBroom, a 1980 graduate of California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a teacher seven years, represented the Compton district in county competition for teacher of the year honors.
