Cleveland’s Branham to Sign With Cal Today

Richard Branham, a 6-foot, 5-inch senior forward at Cleveland High, said Wednesday he will sign a letter of intent today to play basketball for Cal.

Branham, 17, was a first-team All-Valley 4-A League selection as a junior. He averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds a game last season.

“It’s a pretty nice situation there,” Branham said. “It seemed like it wouldn’t be too much of a drastic change for me from what it’s like now.”
