Ventura Is Site of Basketball Tournament

The Ventura College Kiwanis basketball tournament will be held at Ventura College on Nov. 27-29.
The tournament features Southern Idaho College, one of the nation’s top junior college teams, and Ventura, the defending state champion. Teams from Fresno City, Compton, Allan Hancock, Cochise County, Oxnard and Harbor colleges round out the field.
On the opening day of the tournament, Compton plays Allan Hancock at 3 p.m., Cochise plays Oxnard at 5 p.m., Harbor plays Ventura at 7 p.m. and Fresno plays Southern Idaho at 9 p.m.
