How refreshing to see Nordstrom’s ad (Part I, Nov. 22) regarding the joy of celebrating Thanksgiving in order to give thanks and celebrate our blessings with family and friends before the “hustle and bustle” of Christmas. To be honest, it is disheartening as well as disgusting to see decorations and to hear Christmas music before the season even begins. The real meaning of Christmas is lost in the merchants’ desire to get our dollars as quickly as possible.
