Local News in Brief : East County : 3 Injured in Crash on Live Oak Canyon Road

A Buena Park man remained in critical condition with spinal fractures Tuesday after he lost control of his car on Live Oak Canyon Road, crashed into a telephone pole and overturned.
Franklin T. Burns, 19, was southbound south of Hamilton Trail about 11 p.m. Monday when he spun out on a curve at about 65 m.p.h., California Highway Patrol Officer Dan Ives said. The car hit the pole and landed on its roof.
Burns was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo in critical condition. A passenger, John Booher, 19, a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton, suffered a head injury and was in fair condition Tuesday. A second passenger, Ken Wilson, 20, of Norwalk, also in fair condition, suffered cuts and a bruised lung, as well as a broken clavicle.
