The Brea Education Foundation, the private, fund-raising arm of the Brea-Olinda Unified School District, is starting its fund drive for 1988 by selling prints and posters of Brea-Olinda High School.
The 1926 school will soon be replaced by a new high school. The foundation said the commemorative prints and posters show “the school as all who attended it would like it to be remembered.”
The artwork is by Judi Smith Trasport. A limited-edition print will cost $200 before Dec. 15 and $250 after that date. Posters showing the high school will cost $15 before Dec. 15 and $20 afterward.
Prints may be ordered by calling Barbara Paxton, president of the foundation, at (714) 990-0289.
The foundation will hold a reception at the Brea Civic Cultural Center’s Community Room from 7 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 9, during which the artist will sign posters.
