Senior forward Jesus Perez scored 30 minutes into the first half to give Poly a 1-0 victory over North Hollywood on Tuesday in an East Valley League game.
Senior goalie Jose Gutierrez recorded the shutout and stopped two shots that Poly Coach Frank Sandoval said would have eluded most other goalies. “It could have been 2-1, but because of him, it was 1-0,” said Sandoval, whose team improved to 7-1, 4-1.
