Michigan-Seton Hall Telecast Attracts Third-Highest Rating for NCAA Final

NEW YORK — CBS’ telecast of the Michigan-Seton Hall game beat the network competition and drew the highest rating for a National Collegiate Athletic Assn. basketball final since Villanova-Georgetown in 1985.
Monday night’s game, which Michigan won in overtime, 80-79, received a 21.2 rating. Villanova-Georgetown drew a 23.3, second-highest for a championship game behind the 24.1 for Michigan State-Indiana State in 1979.
