Santa Monica : School Board Approves Tax
The Santa-Monica Malibu school board unanimously voted Monday night to levy a $58 parcel tax for the 1989-90 fiscal year.
Proposition TT, the parcel tax, is annually reviewed by the board, which decides whether to levy it for the next year. The district annually receives about $1.6 million from the tax. The tax applies to every parcel of land owned by the school district.
A public hearing was scheduled, but no one came to comment on the issue. Board members voted on the tax without discussion.
