Powell: 26-9 3/4 in Long Jump

Olympic silver medalist Mike Powell, competing unattached, set a Cromwell Field record of 26 feet 9 3/4 inches to win the long jump Saturday on the second day of the USC twilight track and field meet.
Powell finished second to Carl Lewis in the 1988 Games at Seoul.
USC freshman Quincy Watts ran a season-best 10.46 seconds to win the 100 meters.
