Why is “Marta Perez” forced to leave her 12-week-old infant at home when she works in an environment tailor-made for bringing up a child? Why isn’t her 6-year-old with her on school holidays? Is “Sally Cooper” wondering when companies and government will make her own need for child care an issue, as most career women are these days?
Why doesn’t Cooper start solving the day-care problem in her own home? Our actions, or lack of action, are adopted by our children. Racism and elitism aren’t genetic; they are taught, and usually by example.
