SERVICE WITH A SCOWL
Perhaps Green has never had to put up with unrealistic demands day after day from self-centered patrons who believe that they are the “special customer,” that they deserve a better price, the quicker service, bonus offers and extras at no charge. Ask a waitress how often she hears “Could you pick the beans out of my minestrone?” or some such nonsense. Having competent, polite customers who are patient and understanding is an absolute joy, and most service people reciprocate, but unfortunately such customers are a rarity.
