New UAL Buyout Plan Expected: The unions representing United Airlines pilots, flight attendants and machinists have met with officials of parent UAL Corp. to draft a revised employee-led buyout proposal and the carrier’s flight attendants said a new offer will come this week. A previous buyout attempt led by pilots, senior management and British Airway PLC failed in October when bank financing for the $6.75-billion offer fell through.
