Tacoma public and sports officials hope to lure the Seattle SuperSonics to the Tacoma Dome and perhaps land an NHL expansion franchise as well.
Bringing big-league basketball and hockey to the Tacoma Dome, currently the home of the Tacoma Stars of the Major Indoor Soccer League, could lead to the sale of the municipally owned dome, built in 1983 for $44 million.
