Two More Texas Banks Closed: Regulators closed two Texas banks, Aledo State Bank in Aledo and First National Bank of Frisco, bringing to 130 the number of bank failures in the state this year. The closures raised the total bank failures in the nation to 194 this year. Last year, there were 113 such failures in Texas and 200 in the nation. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said the Aledo bank, with assets of $10.1 million will be taken over by Citizens National Bank in Weatherford. The Frisco bank, with assets of $8.7 million, will be taken over by Hibernia National Bank in Pflugerville.
